Document processing

Scan offers many functions for processing documents and pages.
These functions are accessible from the context menu via the document tree structure, as below:


After selecting the document(s)/page(s), a right click of the mouse makes it appear.

Depending on the selection (document or page), the context menu is different. Only the accessible functions are visible.


It is possible to select several documents or pages, by holding down the Ctrl key during selection.
 

Functions available on documents

  • Deletion
  • Cutting into several documents
  • Merge into a single document


Functions available on the pages

  • Deletion
  • Moving to the before or after position within the document
  • Moving into a new document
  • Adding pages (via scanning)

 

Moving documents to another bin

All you have to do is select all the documents to be moved and deposit them in the
destination bunk.
 

Deleting documents or pages

Simply select all the documents or pages to be deleted, bring up the context menu (right click) and select “Delete”.
This function is also accessible by keyboard shortcut:

  • Deleting page(s): Ctrl + Delete
  • Deleting document(s): Ctrl + Shift + Delete

Any deleted documents/pages are placed in the trash.
It is then possible to examine the recycle bin by clicking on it, and retrieve them if necessary.
The recycle bin is emptied at the exit of the application.


Rotation of documents or pages

Simply select the document(s) to rotate and click on one of the following buttons:


Document consolidation/merge

This function is useful for grouping the entire document.


Simply select all the documents to be grouped, bring up the context menu (right click) and select “Merge selected documents”.
All the selected documents are then grouped into a single document.


Cutting documents

Scan offers two ways to cut your documents:

  1. Automatic cutting

This method is useful when a document groups several documents, with a homogeneous number of pages per document.

Simply select the document to be processed, bring up the context menu and select one of the following options:

  1. Manual cutting

This method is useful when a document contains several documents, the number of pages of which differs from one document to another.
In order to accelerate your productivity, this method is accessible via keyboard shortcut:

  • Select the first page of the document.
  • If necessary, select the next page with the “+” button
    If the last selected page is not part of the part, it can be deselected by pressing the” -” key.
  • Once the pages of the same part have been selected, extract them from the source document using the “Enter” key.
  • Simply repeat steps 2 and 3 for the entire document to be cut.

 

Adding a comment

Before sending your documents, you have the option of entering a comment to provide, for example, an indication of the period or a note on the document in question.


To do this, simply select a document and enter your comment in the appropriate field below the document view:
